Rotary Competition - 28/01/2022
Christian Street (Y12) and Annie Wright (Y11) represented Cowbridge Comprehensive School in the Young Musician of The Year 2022 competition, organised by rotary clubs of Cardiff and Cowbridge.
Sponsored by Cowbridge Rotary Club, Christian and Annie competed in the vocal and instrumental categories respectively, against fellow young musicians from across Cardiff and the Vale.
Annie performed pieces by Scarlatti and Brahms on piano and was highly commended by the adjudication panel of professional musicians.
Christian sang classical pieces by John Ireland and Franz Schubert, and the ever popular 'The Music of the Night' from Phantom of the Opera, accompanied on piano by Mr Green, and was awarded first prize in the vocal category - congratulations Christian!
