Archery Club - 28/09/2022
Over the summer, the Cowbridge School Archery Club was nominated and shortlisted from over 160 entries for the prestigious Participation Project of the Year Award from Archery GB. In the awards ceremony over the weekend at the National Sports Centre in Llilleshall, the work of staff and pupils was highly commended by the judges. The school was praised in particular for bringing archery to such a wide range of pupils from across the school and its ongoing work to enable visually impaired pupils to take part.
The club was started in January 2022, and since then it has gone from strength to strength, drawing nationwide attention and featuring in the Summer Edition of Archery UK Magazine, the Archery GB website and getting its first 'Robin Hood'.
