National Numeracy Day 2023

17 May is National Numeracy Day, the UK’s only day dedicated to everyday maths, organised by the charity National Numeracy. It’s a day that celebrates the importance of numbers for children and adults and inspires everyone to improve their numeracy in order to open up opportunities and brighter futures.

At Cowbridge School, we have been celebrating National Numeracy Day and the importance of numbers in our lives through the Number Heroes Challenge.

Year 7 were set the challenge to create a picture of their dream job or hobby, explaining how it uses numbers. Some of the pupils' entries are shown below.
