    Sporting Opportunities and Extracurricular Activities

Many of our Sixth Form students participate in sport and this is encouraged in order to assist with maintaining an effective balance between academic demands and time to unwind. A range of sports clubs are run at the school and Sixth Form students are welcome to join them as a participant or assist in the running of them. Indeed, a number of clubs for younger students couldn’t run without Sixth Form volunteers assisting with coaching and supervision.

As well as sports clubs, the School offers students the opportunity to involve themselves in other extracurricular activities, for example, Debate Club, the publication of the online School Magazine, and Chess Club, to name just a few.

Aside from the obvious wellbeing benefits offered by participating in a sport or extracurricular activity, doing so also allows students to develop essential lifelong skills in communication, team building and problem-solving.

    Trips and Educational Visits

A number of trips and educational visits take place throughout the academic year, many of which are offered to Sixth Form students. Whilst most of these trips are linked to specific subject areas, there is a dedicated Sixth Form Ski trip which takes place on a yearly basis. As a school, we believe that trips and educational visits offer students the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world around them and their subject topics in a different setting and context. All information about these experiences is shared with parents and students in plenty of time for you to consider participation.
